  1. I need faster updates! I really love the storyline and how it progresses.
It’s funny and comical. You develop your characters very well.
I’m an artist and I love to write stories and develop characters around them. You’ve really inspired me to start making my comics/graphic novels.
I have many characters who are African-American/Latino/Indian/etc. I’ve always been hesitant to create characters that are African American male or female because people always ask/question “Oh you did that because you’re Black, right?” or “Is that supposed to be you?” or just plainly ask, “Why did you make her/him Black?” Why does it matter? If the character was white would you be asking? I bet not.
I just started saying ,”Because I wanted to” and “that how I imagined her/him”
I just wish people would look at the artwork and feel the story more than they ask about race/skin color.

I’m just gonna stop listening and create what I want and the stories and dreams that God gives me. I’m a busy 2-job-having college student, but darn-it, I’m gonna start drawing now! You have encouraged me so much.

    Sincerely,
    The Day-Dreaming Pencil

  4. There are a few AMBW groups on Facebook that are sharing your graphic novel. Mainly because there were discussions about lack of diversity in novels and graphic novels as well as the rarity of a Black woman as the protagonist.
As a fellow artist, I give you props for having so many people get to know your artwork. The best advertisement is through word of mouth. 🙂
That’s how I found your website. Someone posted it in a group saying; “Check out this comic on AMBW!!! :-D” and I decided to check it out. Glad I did and have your page bookmarked so I can tune in when another page is uploaded. 🙂
