Why Smart Tablets are the Best Choice for Webtoon Creation

Hey y’all, so I’ve been a webtoon comic book artist for over a decade now, publishing over 5+ webtoons and webcomics since 2010. And in my experience, the best standalone tablet for making webtoons has gotta be tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tablet and the iPad.

First off, I love these standalone tablets because I don’t have to worry about buying a separate computer to use them like I would for a display tablet or graphic tablet which need a computer to operate.

With standalone tablets like the iPad or samsung tablet or even mobile phone has the operating system is already built in, so I can just grab my tablet and go. Plus, they’re super mobile friendly. I can take my tablet anywhere and draw my webtoon on the go. The 10 inch screen size of my tablet is also my favorite because it’s similar to the size of my sketchbook and easy to hold while drawing.

Another great thing about using tablets for webtoon creation is the availability of FREE and lightweight comic drawing apps. I use ibispaint and Magic poser on my 64GB iPad Pro, and the performance is smooth as butter. It’s almost like drawing on paper.

Finally, smart tablets make it super easy to upload your webtoon online. All you need is a browser. Some people try to use the webtoon app, but it doesn’t have a publishing feature yet. Just make sure to request the desktop version of the site and you’ll see the publish button on webtoon platforms.
