Are you a beginner digital artist looking to start creating webtoon comics? Look no further! With so many webcomic publishing sites available, it can be overwhelming to decide where to post your creations. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Aside from the popular WEBTOON CANVA, there are plenty of other options for publishing your webcomic webtoons such as Webcomicsapp, POP Comics, Tapas, and Graphite Comics. Plus, there are even more in the works.
Personally, I have the most experience posting on Tapas, and have been publishing on their platform since 2014. However, one major difference I’ve noticed between Webcomicsapp and Webtoon specifically is that with Webcomicsapp and last time I checked I believe you can apply to become a featured artist after reaching 7,000 subscribers. (Take that with a grain of salt though~)
With LINE Webtoon, it’s stated in their Help Center that editors reach out to select creators to offer the opportunity to become an Originals Creator but for WEBTOON CANVA that is a free publishing platform to use that anyone can publish their webtoon on.
Another great aspect of Graphite Comics, Webcomics App, and POP Comics is that they all offer the ability to publish your webtoons or traditional format webcomics for free on their sites. POP Comics and Webcomics App even clearly state that they both offer monetization opportunities.
Additionally, from my research, there doesn’t seem to be any issues with cross-posting on other platforms. I personally cross-post my webtoon on WEBTOON CANVA, Tapas, my own website, and on social media to reach as many eyes as possible.
