If you want to create a webtoon then I recommend using either Clip Studio paint for desktop computers or ibis paint for iPad or Mobile Devices.
You can also use the touchscreen feature of your smartphone and either use a pen stylus or your actual finger to draw on the screen with these apps.
The canva size that I like to create my webtoon is 1600 x 2400pixels in ibis paint or 1600 x 4600 pixels in Clip Studio Paint
There is a mobile version of Clip Studio Paint but it requires a subscription and it’s not the most budget friendly option to add on a monthly bill like that.
IbisPaint and Clip Studio Paint Debut have a lot of similar features like panel tools and snap to perspective rulers to make backgrounds easily.
If you want to create a webtoon on your phone but you don’t have the funds to afford a pen stylus that’s okay because with ibisPaint you can use your finger to draw on the screen.
Of course the downside to drawing on a smartphone is the size of the screen which is why I would suggest using a tablet like the Surface pro that comes with it’s own pen stylus.
Another great selling point of using the free isbispaint app to create a webtoon is the anime background filter.
This is what I use to turn quickly turn my photos into background for my illustration because I want to be as time efficient as possible.
If you enjoy creating your backgrounds from scratch then you can also use ibis paint perspective ruler feature and ink in your own background easily.
After I have my webtoon created I can open up my internet browser and upload my webtoon onto webtoon or tapa’s platform.
FYI make sure you’re going to LINE Webtoon or Tapa’s site in your internet browser and not their app if you want to submit your comic to their site.
They only have the publishing option available on their desktop browser version so make sure you request the desktop version in your internet borrower settings.
