First things first, the comic has been updated, today’s update was a few days late because I’ve been gathering some information to do this special little blog post <3 Before I get into that I’m so excited because I have the shipping supplies for the book orders :3 Here’s a little preview of what I’m working on this week, I have another set of shipping supplies that supposed to arrive from USPS this week I believe so YAY!!
I’ll also be attending the Iowa Comic Book Club event on October 25th so if there are any local’s going to the event let me know, I’d love to chat with you 😀

Now let’s get right to it, I don’t want to make this post too long so lets see what we can do ;D

When you first read the title cover what was your first initial thoughts? Did it seem a little abrasive? A little harsh? Confusing maybe? Or did you not really have any thoughts about it to begin with since you don’t really know what it’s particularly alluding to.

Do you have a goal or certain task that you’d like to achieve or do at one point in your life? For example we shall use possibly creating your own webcomic and making money from the hardwork that you put into something that you’re passionate about. Do you see your comic possibly being of help to someone else or is it just a story that you want to share with others? What is it that’s stopping you from achieving it? Is it time? Skills? Supplies? Passion?

Sometimes we can take the worse thing that’s ever happen to us in our life and let that define who we are. Which in turns hinders us from seeing the big things that we could achieve. Don’t let your fears and doubt define who you are. If you have a goal that you want to achieve, whether it’s being debt free, or just going out and not being nervous anymore when you talk to someone.

Why don’t you go after that goal or that dream? Is it because you might feel that you’re not good enough? As human’s we feel that we don’t deserve certain things in our life, certain things that make us happy and will make our life better. Sometimes the reason why we feel we don’t deserve it is because we feel we didn’t earn it. No matter what type of background someone might have we all suffer from feeling this way.

The biggest obstacles from achieving our dreams or achieving the greatness that we all are capable of is our own fear and self doubt. We constantly second guess ourselves.

We’ve been told this all of our lives; what we can’t do and who do we think we are for wishing or hoping for something that seems so out of reach and high up and because of that it makes your mind a battle field. Which in turn we might mock, discourage or even pull others down that are taking that step to letting go of their dream and achieving big things. Whether it’s making an amazing story or have a 6 figure income by just sharing your story and the products you love with other people. We let our own self-doubt hold us back and us that to hold others back.

Society has raised us to just make the status quo and nothing is wrong with that but what it does a lot of the times is it puts thoughts in our head “That who do we think we are and why do we think were worth that?” and we have to make the decision that we are worth it. You are worth the time, the money you want, the freedom to do what you love to do.

So stand in your tower and own it, if you’re dream is to become a comic artist or become an author or have your own home based business then do it. Don’t let someone else squash your dream!

Tell yourself “I know who I am and I know what I’m capable of!” Keep going forward and don’t let your fears stop you. You need to get over that self-doubt you have, get over the negative put downs that you tell yourself each and everyday when you feel that you don’t deserve something good. “Well I’m not smart enough or I’m not good enough or they’re better then me, I’ll never be able to do that.” Why? Why do you feel that way? What makes you any different then that person or anyone else?

They started from the bottom just like you but the difference is that they worked on themselves, they got over themselves, that fear and self-doubt, they built their self-esstem and ran towards their goal and you can do the same thing too.

Usually when we get excited about doing something and we go home and get to work but then our old records start playing in our head, “You never had it before why have it now?” “You were never good enough before, so why try now?” or we end up letting someone else say something to us that steals our joy right away. We have to be conscious and aware of who we listen to and what we are saying to ourselves. Write down every negative thought that you might be saying to yourself and look back at it and be aware of what you are doing to yourself and make the steps to stop it each time that thought might try to come back up. Get over your fears, get over yourself that’s holding you back.

A lot of times the worse enemy is ourselves and that’s what I mean when I say get over yourself.

Now just as a little testimony, which I don’t really share with a lot of people but it’s time for me to step out of my comfort zone because I have a goal that I am working towards and I need to get over myself so that my fear won’t hold me back anymore!

After I had my twins I was diagnosed with Bel’s Palsy. I lost all control over the left side of my face, I couldn’t blink or smile like normal. When I would go to brush my teeth I couldn’t keep my mouth closed to hold the toothpaste in and I remember crying over the bathroom sink because I felt so sad. My postpartum was really bad and I had to deal with my twins being sick and I just felt like a failure as a mother because I couldn’t bring in 100% healthy babies and my body wasn’t strong enough for the child birthing process and the side of my face shut down. I felt horrible and I didn’t think it would get better.

I was afraid…..I thought that I would end up losing my eye because I couldn’t keep my eye lid shut and protected and lubricated like normal. There were times where my husband would have to wake me up to let me know my eye was open and I would have to pull it close and wear my eye patch with some gauze and tape to try to keep it shut.

Had I let my fear and self-doubt take total control and freeze me in that negative state then I wouldn’t have had faith that God could heal me and I wouldn’t have kept doing my facial exercises to try to get the nerves back working.

I’m now able to close both of my eyes and smile my big smile once again. Granted it’s not how it was before and two of my nerves are switched around, the nerve for the corner of my mouth is attached to my eye so when I drink through a straw or eat my eye closes and when I blink I can feel the corner of my mouth twitch but I am grateful because God has brought me such a long way and if I would have just given up then I don’t know where I would have been.

It’s a scary thing when you lose control over something that you so easily took advantage of and it’s not so easy to get that control back because it’s a nerve. That’s why I say don’t let your self-doubt stop you from achieving your goal.

I have my own personal goal’s that I want to achieve and I’m going to make sure that I Get over myself so that I can achieve it!

I love you guys and I hope my little post could help inspire you all to get over yourself and strive for that goal or dream that I believe you are capable of achieving!

Keep Trying! Don't give up!
