I’ve said this before and since I’m a fan girl and a webtoon artist that loves to ramble I’ll go ahead and say it again; Medibang Paint app is by far my one of my FAVORITE free app to use for digital art or digital comics on my iPad pro!
Now there are other amazing digital art apps or art programs that you can use for the iPad or most tablets in general.
I have seen my fellow webtoon comic artist use and recommend them so I’ll go ahead and share their recommendations with you!
Webtoon Artist Favorite Comic Drawing Apps for iPad
- JUMP Paint
My first 2 Comic art Apps are no surprise by Medibang and the reason why I recommend them is because not only are they free and specifically have the tools that can make creating digital webtoon comics so easy (Panel tools, G pen, Text and word ballon and Tone Materials) but they also have a built in community where you can upload and publish your webtoon online!
ibisPaint Free Comic App
Another really great digital drawing app that I should mention is ibisPaint and their screen record feature.
Granted it’s not specially created for comic creation but they do have a lot of really great features that can be used by webtoon comic artist!
Some of the features from their app includes; Screenrecord, over 1000 fonts, which provides 335 brushes, 64 filters, 46 screentones, 27 blending modes, recording drawing processes, stroke stabilization feature, various ruler features such as Radial Line rulers or Symmetry rulers, and clipping mask features.
It’s a great app alternative to the Clip Studio Paint Pro program so I totally recommend you guys try it out!
What should you do next?
