The webtoon format size of 800pixels wide by 1280 pixels long is only the size that your image files must not surpass to upload on their platform.

A common misconception with webtoons is that it’s just one long vertical strip so the fact that webtoon size for upload is 800px by 1280px throws people off cause its so small.

Webtoons are actually made of small individual image files and their platform automatically stacks them together seamlessly so it ends up looking like one long vertical strip.

When I draw my webtoon I like to have my canva size about double or sometimes triple the upload size because 800 pixels is just too small for me to enjoy drawing on.

Each file can be up to 2MB and usually having the dpi at 75 can help keep each file under 2MB.
But just a little tip to keep in mind that the lower the dpi the more blurry it will be so I recommend sticking to a dpi of 300.
