Okay now I’m going to attempt to post up a comprehensive blog post in the midst of my children scream, hollering, whining, jumping, running and all other sources of chaotic noise. So if I seem to ramble a bit please forgive me and I will do my best to stay on topic.
Comic update information:
I’m excited to say that I have almost all of my comic page buffer for this year finished. With the one page a week updates and chapter 2 being 25 pages long and chapter 3 is 16 pages long then that totals up to 41 pages which in turn would be 41 weeks of updates. So my schedule for Chapter 2 being fully available online is dated for Dec 7, 2012 and Chapter three, which is the chapter after the confession which a lot of you who read the first old chapter are waiting for, should start up online in December.
Of course December is a while away and like I mentioned before in my previous post I will be starting a kickstarter program to be able to help me fund the printing of the first three chapters of Love! Love! Fighting! So during the month of August I will be able to focus on artwork and visual novel stuff, which I am very excited to get back working on. Here is a screen cap of all the pages for the first 3 chapters of LLF. Don’t worry there aren’t really any spoilers but I just wanted to show you some of the work in progress. I should have all the pages draw up on Monday and then the Monday after that all the pages should be inked in then I can start the hard task of learning how to make a simple comic trailer TT.TT.
Visual Novel Update:
Now onto visual novel matters. Since I will be finishing up my comic work of the first three chapters on Monday in two weeks I’ll be able to turn my focus back on my visual novel. The reason that I put it off for so long was because I knew my back history and if I tried to work on two comics, which I am doing now and have had a few hiccups with that, while trying to do a visual novel, which requires a lot of time, patience, and brain power, then I would have burnt out.
So to better pace myself and see what I could handle I decided to go ahead and finish the demo version of the visual then put a pause on it and start on making the buffer of LLF chapter work. Now that I have a decent size buffer I plan on working back on putting up the full version of Curse of the Caribbean.
Now for those of you who don’t really know about visual novels, it’s basically a visual choice your own adventure story, though a lot of people have their own take on that and add more game-play to their visual novel but for me I’m not that code suave and I really want to focus more on the storytelling aspect. So for those of you expecting a rpg game you will be disappointed because it’s basically a visual story *i.e novel* I do plan on doing an rpg in the near future but that has been put on hold so that I can make sure not to overload myself.
P.S. Hang in there Cara! TT.TT I’ll have a new file of the visual novel to you really soon. @.@
Final thoughts/comments:
I do plan on redo my synopsis of LLF after having read “Invisible Ink by Brian McDonald” which by the way is an awesome book, I still haven’t been able to get to the end but that’s because I’ve been stopping and starting while trying to implement all the new things I learned into my stories. I have a much better understanding on how to tell my story effectively while trying to get my point across. For those of you interested you should really pick up this book and have a gander. Right now I am in the phase of looking for a decent comic book and bookmark publisher for my kickstarter program. I’m kind of nervous because this is my first time and I don’t know if I’ll even be able to make my goal, which will be $1,000 but instead of sitting around here being nervous I will get started on working on the prints and bookmark illustrations. I’ll post up the rough sketches on the site before I turn in my application to start a kickstarter program.
I really want to make sure I’m well prepared for this so I want to have all the comic pages and illustrations finished before I start the kickstarter. I had a smooth and easy launch with my website re-opening since I made sure to have everything ready before hand so I’m going to do the same here. Also if I can figure out how to get the images off my camera I can post up what my new and first ever personal home art room looks like.
Again I really want to extend my gratitude to all of you who have been spreading the word about my comic and also voting for it on Top Webcomics. It might seem like a small matter but it really helps me to get more exposure and get my story out there. So before things get mushy-mush I’ll go ahead and leave with this comment “How many of you are excited to finally see Jae-hwa and the others again?” I know I’m excited for all of you to read chapter 3 but for now chapter 2 is up but I also hope you’ll enjoy that as well because I’m excited for chapter 2 being posted too~

I’m glad your excited to Toshiro! When I read you comment that song from back in the 90’s or 80’s popped in my head “I’m so excited and I just can’t Hid it! I know, I know, I know, I know, I know you are too, you are too!” or how ever the lyrics go =D
Wow! I am really impressed by your work ethic and dedication to your projects, S-Morishita! :] I am looking forward to the rest of chapter 2. Don’t work too hard! 😀
Thank you so much for posting that! I’ll try not to over do it because that will only make me crash and burn but that really put a smile on my face to see you put that. Sometimes I feel like I’m not working hard enough but comments like this really helps encourage me ^^
